The Grace Lutheran Church subscribes to the doctrine of Scripture alone, Grace alone, and Faith alone.

2 Tim 3:15-16  “and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness,”

Eph 2:8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God ”

We believe that the one true God is the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost, three distinct persons, but of one and the same divine essence.

Deut 6:4, 1 Cor 8:4 We believe ……. in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. This means He has made me and all creatures. He daily provides me with all I need, defends me against all danger, and protects me from all evil. All this out of fatherly divine goodness and mercy, … for which it is my duty to thank and praise him.

in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord …. This means He has redeemed me from sin, from the devil, from death, and from all evil. As Lord and Redeemer, He has rescued us from the devil to bring us to God, from death to bring us into life, from sin to bring us into righteousness, and now keeps us safe.

in the Holy Ghost; the holy Christian church, the communion of saints; This means that I cannot by my own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord or come to Him; but the Holy spirit has called me by the Gospel, enlightened me with His gifts, sanctified and kept me in the true faith; even as He gathers, enlightens, and sanctifies the whole Christian Church on Earth, and keeps it with Jesus Christ in the one true faith.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, written Word of God in all its parts. Therefore, on the basis of  Holy Scriptures, all Christian doctrine shall be given, all congregational activities regulated, and all controversies, doctrinal or otherwise, which arise within the congregation resolved.
